Zooma
On March 27th, 2010, seven months after having little Collier, momma was finally able to run her first half marathon since finding out she was pregnant. The last 1/2 marathon I ran was right before I found out I was pregnant. My dear friend Mary Jane trained and ran the Zooma Half Marathon with me. The event was held out at the Hyatt Lost Pines resort in Bastrop. The place is beautiful!! But the race was a monster! It was so full of hills. We definitely underestimated the elevation chart, but we had fun and finished!

7 Months
Collier is now 7 months old! He is growing up to be more adorable each and everyday. He has the cutest personality. He loves to play, crawl, and pull up on everything. He is a little dare devil too. He is already holding onto the couch and letting go with one hand. He tries to reach down and grab things too, while he is standing up. And he is a fast little guy! I have to watch him very closely, because he will wonder off, and explore other areas of the house. But we are having so much fun with him. Here is his latest photo shoot.
We just think he is wonderful! We love the joy and excitement he had brought into our lives.
On a different note, he had surgery last Tuesday, the 30th. His plumbing is officially fixed! It was a rough last week, but he is finally getting back to himself. On Monday, we had a little scare. While taking his bath, he tried to stand up in the sink, and the catheter got caught under his foot and pulled out a bit. We called the Doc on call, and he had us take it out. We called the nurse the next day, and since he is doing fine and not having any side effects, we didn't have to take him in. We go on Friday for a follow up appointment. We will keep everyone posted. So far, so good!

The Rodeo
The Austin Rodeo came to town in March, and we thought we would take Call to see the animals. He is still way to young to know what is going on, but we went anyway. He really didn't know what to think of all of it, as we drug him around to look at all the animals. We had a good time and it was a beautiful day!
Collier really enjoys reading books, especially the ones about animals. I thought he would like to see what the real ones looked like and the sounds they make. Maybe next year he will have a good time enjoying the animals and not give them dirty looks.

Playdate with my RR Friends!
A couple of weeks ago, some of my friends from high school, were able to get together on a Friday, for a playdate. Call and I went over to Shelly's house, where we were joined by Liz and Emery, Jenny, and Katie. Liz made lasagna, I brought salad, Jenny brought bread, and Katie brought dessert. It was a yummy feast. We also had a new addition to the group! Shelly had Baby Jasper, the last Friday in February. We were able to spend some time with Shelly and her boys, along with Emery. It was so wonderful to be among my girlfriends and their children, hanging out, and watching our kids play together. We have vowed to try and get together once a month from now on. I am so blessed to have these girls for my friends. It is so neat that we continue to share our lives with each other as we get older. Hopefully, our children will be blessed with friendships with each other as they grow up together!
