First Travels with Baby

Trip #1: Lubbock, TX
I decided that it was time for a road trip. I wanted Collier to see some of his relatives before he was 3 months old. So, I loaded up the Tahoe, and off we went to spend a week in Red Raider Country!!
We started the weekend off at my grandmother Mimi's house. Here is Collier receiving his first kitchen sink bath from Mimi. I am not sure he knows what to think about this!

I guess he is enjoying Mimi's tender hands. Mimi loves to give baths and Collier didn't miss one while he stayed with her.

Daddy's Caddy.

Hanging out with Aunt Jalisa.

Meeting silly Aunt Jeane! She is a great great aunt and she loves to make everyone laugh!!

Collier and Mimi playing on the floor with his baby einstein play gym. He loves this fun toy!!

On Monday, we went over to my Dad's house and stayed there for a few days. This was Franny's first time to meet Collier. She is another great grandmother. Collier is very lucky to get to know his great grandparents!
Four Generations! Franny, Gramps, Mommy, and Collier.

Playing with Gramps!

Collier hanging out with his Gramps.

Gramps and JoJo's new puppy Magnum. Collier had a great time watching Magnum play. Puppies are so cute and a handful!

Trip #2: Back home to Austin with Granna J.
Collier with his Granna J.
Now Granna J is dating a very nice man named Scott. Scott's parents own some land out in Dripping Springs. During Granna J's visit, he invited us out to come and see where he grew up. The pictures below are from our day there. It was soo beautiful. We had a great time hanging out and going on a hike!
This house belongs to Scott's parents dear friends. They own half of the land with Scott's parents. She was so sweet to invite us in for brownies and coffee. Her home was beautiful! I had to take a picture of it. This was her back porch.

Granna J and her new beau Scott.

Call and me by the river at the land in Dripping Springs. It was so pretty. Maybe next time Collier can play in it!!

Clyde discovering the trails! He loves going outside and exploring.

Three generations!! Granna J, Mommy, and Collier.

Trip #3: Las Vegas, Nevada
The first week of December, we took a Thompson family vacation to Las Vegas. We stayed at Excalibur, and took Call to see many sights of the strip during the day. At night, Call and his mommy hung out in the hotel room, while Daddy and Uncle Aaron played blackjack.
Here we are outside of New York, New York.

This was at the top of the Stratosphere. Collier took a nap, while his crazy Dad and Uncle Aaron rode all the insane rides at the top of the casino!!

This is how Call rolled during the whole trip...in the sling! A snuggly ride for him and a workout for mommy.

Downtown Las Vegas in front of the Golden Nugget. This was Collier's only night out and we didn't stay out long. Collier decided he had done enough for the day and he let us know about it!! Adam and I had to leave dinner and take a taxi back to the hotel. He was sooo upset!! Therefore, I stayed in with him at night for the rest of the trip, and we went sight seeing during the day!

Pumpkin Patch

Last week, in the spirit of Halloween, my friend Mary Jane and I took Collier to the Pumpkin Patch at the Lutheran Church in town. He was not a big fan of having his picture made with the pumpkins! I am sharing with you the ones where he is at least somewhat pleasant!

I had to hold him in the beginning so he would not cry!

Little farmer Call.

Mary Jane was taking her turn calming down the bumble bee.

This one is my favorite!

Sticking out my tongue.

Laying in the wagon was fun! He even smiled for us.

A little bumble bee!

Costume Party

This year is the one for Adam's friends to turn the big 30! This past weekend we went to Erich & Emily Koch's 30th Birthday Costume Party. As you can see, Adam & I went as a famous couple. We weren't trying to win the costume contest, but we went to the party and everyone thought we looked just like the famous sheriffs. Laugh and enjoy!!

Guess who?!!

Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife Beth!

Mary Jane the Ladybug & Keilah as Dog's wife.

Haven, Mary Jane, Keilah , & Julie

For Collier's first Halloween, he is a bumble bee!

We were having fun trying on our costume!

He was so cute playing while I took his picture! He is laughing, not crying!!

2 Months Old.

Last week on October 21st Collier turned 2 months old! We went to see Dr. Travis at Treehouse Pediatrics. Collier weighed 10 pounds 6.5 ounces and was 23 inches long. He is in the 25-50% percentile for children his age. He looked pretty good.

Here is Collier after drinking the rotovirus. He has sticky stuff all over his mouth.

Here is Collier after getting his first shots. He did pretty good overall. A little bit of crying after the shots. The nurse did it so fast. I was super impressed!!

Our First Road Trip and Wedding with Bebe!

On October 10th we had the pleasure of going to Dallas for Felix Munson's wedding. We had a good time hanging out at the Crowne Plaza Suites. Adam was able to play golf with Erich Koch on Saturday morning, while I went and hung out with my friend Jenn at the galleria.

Collier is getting ready for bed on Friday night after we got checked in.

Hanging out in the bed before going out for some shopping.

Collier loves to lay down and play. Here he is smiling big!!

Going to the wedding reception with momma.

Hanging out with Daddy at the table.

Thank you to Aunt Shannon for coming to the hotel and babysitting Collier during the wedding and some of the reception. Collier had a great time!!
